Phillip Lanier’s story begins in Fort Mill, South Carolina. He was raised by a sixteen-year-old single mom and grew up without spare cash or a safety net. School did not come easy. He failed English, missed his own high school graduation, and at 18 spent nights in a tent while piecing together more than 20 low-wage jobs.

His turning point arrived in the construction field. With no formal training and nothing in savings, he put on a hard hat, dug ditches, and learned the business from the ground up. Over 20 years he built a company employing 115 people, then sold it and retired at 47.

Today Phillip leads Your Money Essentials, mentoring people who feel stuck and want a path forward. His message is simple: with grit, faith, and the right guidance, you can change your future.
